Why We Love Bookshop.org!

In an era when online shopping dominates the retail space, many indies - including us - have struggled to compete with giant retailers. So it may seem counterintuative for us to be championing one of them. But Bookshop.org is different, its sole purpose is to support local bookshops while still offering the convenience of online shopping to a wider audience than we can reach alone.
For some indies, Bookshop.org allows them to provide an online space for their customers that they wouldn't otherwise be able to create. By virtue of the fact that you're reading this, you already know that we have an online presence so why would we need to be a part of the bookshop.org community? Well, for us, the platform allows us an invaluable second internet space, exposure to people who may not know about us and, perhaps most importantly of all, provides us with a small income from the pool of revenue that is split between affiliates.
We love the platform for all it does in raising the profile of indie bookshops like us, they work with us, not against us and they're certified B-Corp, so you know that it's run with people and planet in mind (See the BookLoop scheme below!)
Together, it’s helping ensure that the future of independent bookselling is as bright as it can be.

The E-Book Launch
From 1st October 2025, you can buy your eBooks while supporting indies like us - and we are so excited!
It's a space that we've never been able to access, until now. With millions of eBooks selling each year, we're thrilled to finally be able to tap into that market, and doubly happy that we get to do that with Bookshop.org who we already love so much.
